Service Contract Act
Where applicable, the Service Contract Act imposes several requirements on contractors. Foremost, it mandates the payment of minimum wage and fringe benefits (which are reflected in a wage determination) to its service employees performing on a covered contract. But it also requires employers to notify employees about their rights, maintain employment and payment records, and provide employees with safe working conditions. As one might expect, the Department of Labor’s regulations, implementing the Service Contract Act, are extensive and tedious.
We bring clarity to these the Service Contract Act standards. Whether the issue is specific or general, we stand ready to advise. In addition, we assist clients in requesting equitable adjustments where a newly applicable wage determination increases actual costs under the contract.
