As GovConBrief’s devoted fans have probably gathered, I’m alarmed by SBA’s recent skepticism of its own 8(a) Program. I’ve been particularly alarmed by SBA’s recent “data call“–it’s demand for every 8(a) contractor to provide substantial and detailed information, all under the guise of uncovering supposed waste, fraud, and abuse.

Earlier today, I had the chance to do a deeper dive into SBA’s data call with my friend Sam Le, on his GovConIntelligence podcast. It was a great conversation that more deeply discusses why SBA wants this information, and what it’ll do with the information once it has it.

You can watch my discussion with Sam here:

If you’re an 8(a) Participant needing to respond to SBA’s data call (er, inquisition), I’d encourage you to check it out. And if you’d like to discuss your response options, please give me a call.
